PEOPLE

Devender is a Fashion Design graduate of NIFT and a post graduate of London College of fashion, UK. His Graduate collection is part of the University of Arts archive and is being used by the university as a benchmark for its Masters Programme. Kharb has over 3 years of experience in academics and over 12 years work experience as a Buyer, merchandiser and designer of luxury fashion goods in Europe’s design houses and high street suppliers in South Asia. His work has been exhibited at trade fares and private events across Europe. He has been a design consultant to many international companies and chain of stores in UK. He Represented UK at Concours International des JeunesCreateurs de Mode (2004) Paris, France. He is also one of the founders and the creative head of ‘The Infusion Store’, an e-commerce platform for contemporary Asian fashion in Europe.

A post graduate in Textile design from NIFT Delhi, John has trained under textile experts from Royal College of Arts and Central St Martins. John has an experience of more than two and a half decades in the industry working with organizations like Oxfam, Anju Modi, Habitat UK, Ralph Lauren Home and Donna Karan NY among others. In addition to his love of Textiles John loves to delve into realms of Literature, Music and Art.

An Apparel Design graduate from NID, Ambika has been into academics for the last 20 years at NIFT Mumbai and Pearl Academy. A certified higher education from NTU and a certified virtual teacher from Laureate Universities, She is a recipient of an International award for her paper presented at IFFTI. Her designed Uniform is worn by Immigration Officers at the Indian International Airports. She recently concluded a Haryana craft survey report for the British Council. Her entry to WOW (world of wearable art) was presented in NZ. She collaboratively works with various craft clusters in creating innovative lifestyle products and apparels.

An alumnus of Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, Anshika has been a design academician for over a decade. A knowledge enthusiast, she consistently excelled in her education, achieving the status of a Gold and Silver medallist. Her educational background and further learning have made her proficient in teaching subjects such as textile science, wet-processing, surface design techniques, draping, and pattern-making.
Her passion for Indian crafts and natural dyes led her to research and explore this domain, resulting in four certificates of registration of design from the Patent Office of the GOI for student projects under her supervision. She is also a panel expert with PSSCIVE Bhopal, contributing to the development of curriculum and textbooks for 11th and 12th grade vocational education. Additionally, she also writes for various newspapers and digital platforms on contemporary industry practices and current trends.
She was also associated with AKTU University, Lucknow, and Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun.

Satya Suman, is a Fashion Designer who has gained experience working with the some of the leading talents in the Fashion industry such as Alexander McQueen, Giorgio Armani (Black)and JJ Valaya. During his career he has dressed many celebrities like Madonna, Bjork, Gwen Stefani, Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, Simon Costin to name a few, and has worked with renowned brands like national /international Globus, Puma and Swarovski Pte. Ltd. (Chennai).
Yet his love for simplistic lifestyle, and quest to see romantic, modest, ambitious, optimistic in nature makes him a believer in everything irrespective of its existence. This ability to view things in multi-dimensional perspective fueled his sustainable approach in Design, inspiring him to open a Ready to Wear fashion brand under his name.
Satya is an alumnus of NIFT, Delhi, Central Saint Martin’s College of Art And Design BA (Hons.) Fashion, and recognized Designer Member for Fashion Design Council of India with number of designs patent under his name.

Dr. Vidushi is an Associate Professor at the School of Fashion in World University of Design, Sonipat.
With a Ph.D. in Omni-channel Retailing, she brings a wealth of expertise in sustainability, merchandising, marketing, and retailing, cultivated over 10 years of professional experience. She is also working with a Texas-based non-profit organization AKFI Association, as Research Partner that focus on research related to ESG, Sustainability, and Digital Transformation. Her career includes impactful roles at Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd. and Upcycleluxe, where she managed brands like Uniqlo, H&M, Target, and Next, as well as a portfolio of 100+ sustainable brands such as Doodlage, Mix Mitti, Neora, and The Terra Tribe. She presented research papers at conference both on the national and international level. Her research papers have been published in esteemed Scopus Indexed and UGC care listed journals.

Shubham Saurabh is a graphic designer graduated from the MIT Institute of Design Pune. He has worked in both academia and industry for the last 6 years. His expertise lies in subjects like - Branding, Advertisements, Semiotics, Book Design, Social communications, Typography, Illustrations, Concept art, Film Semiotics, and Design Projects.
As a creative professional his interests include creating signs and symbols and assigning philosophical meanings to them as well as exploring visual thinking and perception by using the natural phenomenon called pareidolia. Interested in studying human behaviour, habits, needs, desires, and demography he aims to create a better user experience for the targeted audience. Lastly, he believes teaching is a performance and students are the audience, hence, apart from the information and design knowledge students should be excited, entertained, and enthusiastic in the class.

Deepali is a World University of Design alumnus with a master's degree in Fashion Design, and was awarded for her outstanding postgraduate collection. She has a specialization in 3D design, and expertise in advance software such as CLO3D, Marvelous Designer, and Optitex to create virtual models of clothing, facilitating prototyping, design visualization, and market presentation.
Her proficiency in CLO3D enables her to meticulously craft detailed 3D assets that seamlessly integrate into dynamic environments, enhancing realism and aesthetic appeal. Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, she adeptly translates creative concepts into tangible designs that resonate with contemporary fashion trends. As an early career designer and design educator, it is this passion for nurturing creativity in emerging designers that motivates her to innovate and push the boundaries of digital fashion artistry.

He is a seasoned Photojournalist with over 25 years of experience in capturing the most iconic moments of India's history. Born and brought up in Chandigarh, he has worked for some of the most reputed newspapers and organizations in the country like Avalanche Magazine, The Indian Express, The Times of India, and The Tribune.
Some of his notable coverage includes the visits of British Royal Couple Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla Parker to Punjab, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper's visit to India, French President's visit to India, and the Indian Premier League (IPL- all series till 2016). Covered T-20 World Cup (2007), Davis Cup in 2016, International PHL Hockey league.
He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphics from Government College of Arts, Chandigarh, with First Division in 1997. And since then participated in many photography exhibitions, conducted lectures and workshops at various institutes around the country.

S K Satyam is an Alumni of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi and Indian Institute of Craft & Design, Jaipur with a Bachelor in fashion design and Masters in Craft and textiles respectively. He has been associated with the field of design for the last 10 years now working for brands like Vero-Moda, Only, Vila, Tom Tailor etc. An enthusiast in reading, writing and research he got associated with NIFT, Patna in 2016 as an educator to share his knowledge and understanding about design. He has also written a novel in 2018 named ‘The other side of the moon’ based on his views about love and philosophy of life.
Further ahead he developed a keen interest in studying and researching various crafts of India and have been studying the people associated with it and the intrinsic value they possess in association with craft. He has also, been writing articles on them and studying further ahead to encapsulate indigenous way of Indian lifestyle. Recently he has finished a book on poetry as well. When it comes to design, he considers himself a visual storyteller and for the last four years he has been educating at WUD sharing his expertise in the fashion design department.

Pankaj brings along with him 16 years of experience as a design/ creative professional and more than 9 years of experience in the field of academics/ design educator. He graduated from NIFT Gandhinagar and has worked with major design houses and runs his own fashion brand. His work has been showcased in fashion shows India and abroad.
Pankaj is a passionate educator who believes in imparting the best of his learnings in the most relevant way to future designer to prepare them for a professional environment. He has used his comprehensive, practical knowledge along with understanding of various design ideas & philosophies to develop courses, build ideas that ensure holistic growth with learning of young designers as well as the overall development of the organization.

Divya is a Textile Design graduate from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna and has a post graduate degree from the Indian Institute of Craft and Design.
Divya has gained valuable industry experience at companies such as Ratan Textiles, Sarita Handa, and Hilo Design, where she worked with renowned brands like Zara, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters. She is a craft enthusiast and has completed NGO projects with AAICA, focusing on crafts such as Phulkari and Zardozi.
Her research interests are sustainability and integrated design. Additionally, she has authored two research papers in the field and is eager to delve deeper into research design and methodologies as well as innovative research projects. Her work demonstrates a commitment to advancing knowledge and improving practices in her area of expertise.

Rishabh Chakravarty is a Virtual Fashion Designer and avant-garde and surrealist artist who graduated from the World University of Design in 2022 with a degree in Fashion Design.
As a Fashion Designer, he has worked with notable brands such as Polite Society, Almost Gods, Jaywalking, Anamika Khanna, and Shaberry before transitioning into the virtual fashion realm with CLO Virtual Fashion as a 3D Designer. Rishabh's interests extend beyond fashion; he is an avid F1 racing and Moto GP fan and a film enthusiast.

Satya Vijay completed has Post Graduation (MFA) in Printmaking from College of Art, University of Delhi and BFA from Faculty of Fine Arts (Painting), Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi. His experience in Fine Art (Painting, Printmaking and Sculpture) adds unique perspectives to his creative projections in a very expressive manner. With rich experience in Realistic, Semi-Realistic and abstract painting techniques, he has exhibited his artworks at many national and international venues. His creations have also been collected by national and international museums. His decade long experience in the field of art education, inspires him to give his best to the young Art & Design learners.

Manmeet is a Delhi based artist and art educator who completed her Ph.D. from the University of Delhi. Her art practice is an inquiry into the ephemeral exploring multiple mediums in the forms of drawing, painting, montages, installations, sequential art, and public intervention projects apart from.
She has participated in various national and international exhibitions and received fellowship from Apex Art, New York city. She is also an avid zine maker and co publishes a zine called Mahila.

Aditi is an award-winning graduate of NIFT and a post graduate in Fashion Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada. She is passionate about intersectional studies, identity, self and their interaction with fashion. She mentored undergraduate students during her Master’s program and introduced various ways of Design Thinking. She believes that storytelling is a crucial part of fashion and is currently exploring the area of practise based research.
